A Small, Intimate Wedding in Asheville, NC

Taylor and Carl had a small, intimate wedding in Asheville, NC. They knew they wanted to avoid the stress of planning a big wedding. They also knew that they didn’t want to say their intimate vows in front of everyone. We came up with the perfect solution – a ceremony to make it legal with their family and friends and then they would venture into the mountains to say their private vows.

INTIMATE WEDDING CEREMONY WITH FAMILY & FRIENDS AT AC HOTEL

On the day of their wedding, I met up with Carl in the lobby of the AC Hotel. We walked around the building to find the perfect spot for him to see Taylor for the first time. I went back to meet up with Taylor and their daughter Ellie and led them to where Carl was waiting. They were both nervous so this was super helpful for them to get rid of some of the nerves that come along with a wedding. They were thrilled to be able to spend a little time together before walking down the aisle.

We headed upstairs to the rooftop where their family and friends were waiting to witness their intimate wedding. They had their official ceremony and it was short and sweet. The rooftop at the AC Hotel was such a gorgeous little spot. We had the mountain views in the distance and were both inside and outside at the same time. It was such a gorgeous spot to gather everyone together.

After their intimate wedding ceremony, they spent some time with their friends and family to celebrate. The weather was absolutely perfect and everyone enjoyed the rooftop. The views of downtown Asheville and the mountains in the distance were incredible from the AC Hotel. They shared drinks, conversation, and cake before we headed out to the mountains for them to share their vows.

INTIMATE VOW EXCHANGE ON THE BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY IN ASHEVILLE

One of the most important things for their intimate wedding in Asheville was that they wanted to share their vows privately in the mountains. After some quality family and friends time, we headed to the parkway to watch the sunset. While Taylor tried not to get carsick on the winding roads, we enjoyed the cool air and the quiet calm of the mountains. We stopped at a beautiful little overlook and explored the area. They said their private vows to each other with the mountain backdrop and no one around. Taylor was so in awe of Carl who wrote his vows out on paper! Afterwards we adventured around the little trails and had way too much fun, if such a thing exists.

We headed back down the parkway and stopped at another overlook and watched the sky turn from blue to pink. Taylor and Carl spent the rest of the night celebrating at the AC Hotel with their friends and family. It was an absolutely perfect day.

Taylor and Carl’s intimate wedding in Asheville was a perfect example that there are no set ways to celebrate. Everyone’s love and relationship is unique, so the wedding day should be no different! I love helping couples break the norm and find what works for them. Sound like you? I’m here to help!
